What Makes Android Different From Apple

The Android and iPhone cold war have always been a trending newsmaker since years. Yes! That time of the year has arrived when Apple launches its iPhones and you start thinking about what should you buy, an Apple or an Android? The debate, “Android vs iPhone”, over the world is unstoppable and thus, we’ve figured what specialty does each of the phones has. Let us see how they differ from each other.

The best of Apple:

  • There are more “iPhone only” apps than “Android only”

Although, the biggest apps come on both platforms together, but there are still many apps that first come on iPhone than Android and there are few that are only designed for Apple by a mobile app development company. The apps that launch on both platforms are first launched on Apple and are better looking on Apple itself. This means app developers trust Apple as their platform for testing the product they design. For instance, any new features in Snapchat are first launched on Apple and then on Android.

  • iPhone has faster updates

iPhone users enjoy the perks of getting updates faster than Android users. Android updates take months to arrive on all the devices. By the time you wait for the new update to get launched, there comes another phone that is more compatible with the latest software.

This is not the case with iPhone. Apple delivers software updates that are compatible with phones even 3 years old. No Android phone has experienced that compatibility with an older phone. iOS 10 is even compatible with iPhone 5 which is nearly 3 years older than iPhone 7.

  • Easy sharing with other iPhones

When your friends have iPhones, sharing becomes easy. You can share your pictures, images, links via Airdrop in just one or two taps. While another friend has an Android phone, you’ll have to download several apps to share the files with a non-apple user. Although top mobile app developers are designing Android Marshmallow the same as Apple, but again the matter of compatibility comes in between and not all phones will be compatible with the latest version of Android.

There are many features of Apple that Android lacks in but we have discussed only a few of them. Instead, let's see Android’s side and review what makes Android better than Apple.

The best of Android:

  • A variety of choices

When you choose an Android phone, what you have the benefit of is an ample amount of choices that Android phones, unlike Apple’s one or two phones that have a specific rate depending upon the space offered. While you’re giving a thought over Android phones, you not just have the choices in brands but also in shapes, sizes, rates, etc. you can choose a phone depending upon your budget and requirements. An Android phone is available for even the cheapest rate a smartphone can be sold at and also for a higher rate that has worthy features. A brand new iPhone is not one that you would want to buy if your budget is not as high as the price of an iPhone.

  • Removable batteries

Not all, but many Android phones have a removable battery that you can take off yourself if there is any problem that the battery is facing or if you need to change one. Suppose, you’ve been using a phone since long and as the battery loses its capacity after longer use, your battery loses too, what would you do in a case if it was an iPhone? You would have to go to the nearest Apple store and get it changed or in the worse scenario, live with it! Such is not a case with Android. You can get the battery removed or changed that too by your choice depending on the type of battery required by your phone. The new battery will work like the battery of a brand new phone.

Both Android and Apple have their best features that are unique in their own way. What you want to prefer is what matters the most. Where at one side, Android facilitates Bluetooth and easy sharing with even non-android devices unlike Apple, Apple doesn’t have the Bluetooth feature as the Apple makers think easy sharing can affect the phone’s performance due to viruses. Both the brands have different designs and uses, yet they are unique in their services.
